RESOLUTION OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DETERMINING THE AMOUNTS NXCESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION IN THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
NO. 1 OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AND
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 2 OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT DURING THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING
JULY 1, 1960 AND ENDING JUKE 34, 1961, AND FIXING
THE RATES OF TAX TOBE I_;EVIED FOR SUCH FISCAL YEAR.
WHEREAS, Section 24 of Municipal Water District Act of 1911, as amen
provides that the Board of Directqrs of Carlsbad Municipal Water District shall
determine the amounts necessary to be raised by taxation during the fiscal year
and that the Board of Directors shall fix the rates of tax to be levied which raisc
the amounts of money required by the district; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water Distric
are required to certify to the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Diego,
the rate or rates SO fixed and shall furnish to the said Board of Supervisors a
statement in writing containing the following:
(a) An estimate of the minimum amount of money required to be
raised by taxation during the fiscal year for the payment of
the principal of and interest on any bonded debt of the district
or an improvement district thereof as will become due before
the proceeds of a tax levied at the next general tax levy will
be available.
(b) An estimate of the minimum amount of money required to be
raised by taxation during the fiscal year for all other purposes
of the district; and
WHEREAS, Carlsbad Municipal Water District did exclude certain terri
tory from its boundaries by Ordinance No. 7 of said district, which was adoptec
on September 5, 1956, and filed with Secretary of State of State of California 01
October 24, 1956; and
WHEREAS, the said Secretary of State did on October 24, 1956, issueliis
certificate of exclusion; a certified copy of which was filed with the County Cler

of the County of San Diego on or about November 1, 1956; and
WHEREAS, at the time of the aforementioned exclusion no bonded
indebtedness existed against the said excluded territory; and
WHEREAS, there have been duly formed within the boundaries of the
Carlsbad Municipal Water District two improvement districts known as
Improvement District No. 1 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District and Improve-
ment District No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District; and
WHEREAS, there now exists a bonded indebtedness against both said
improvement districts; and
WHEREAS, in the judgment of the Board of Directors of Carlsbad
Municipal Water District the revenues of the district and the improvement dis-
tricts therein will probably be inadequate to pay the principal and interest on the
bonded debt of the said improvement districts and all other amounts set for in
Section 22, Municipal Water District Act of 19 11, as amended.
NOW THEREFORE THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD MUNI-
CIFAL WATER DISTRICT DUES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District
hereby determines that the estimated minimum amounts necessary to be raised
by taxation during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1960, and ending June 30,
1961, are as follows:

Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
None for the payment of any principal and interest for bonded debt of said water district.
$20, 740.92 for all other purposes of the district.
Improvement District No. 1 of Carlsbad Municipal Water D&rict:
$47, 194. 14 for payment of principal and interest on the
bonded debt of said improvement district.
$3, 371. 01 for all other purposes of said improvement district.
Improvement District No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
$20, 445.43 for payment of principal and interest on the bonded debt of said improvement district.
$142.98 for all other purposes of said improvement district.

2. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District here-
by fixes the rates of taxes to be levied in the Carlsbad Municipal Water District
as follows:
a. For Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
(1) Six cents ($ .06) for each $100.00 of assessed valuation on all properties within the boundaries of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District, as such assessed valuation appears on the last equalized assessed roll of the County Assessor of County of San Diego.
b. For Improvement District No. 1 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
(1) Fourteen cents ($ . 14) for each $100.00 of assessed valuation on all property within the boundaries of Improvement District
No. 1 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District as such assessed valuation appear on the last equalized assessment roll of
the County Assessor of County of San Diego, with such levy
being made for bond retirement purposes.
(2) One cent ($ .01) for each $100.00 of assessed valuation on
all property within the boundaries of Improvement District No.
1 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District as such assessed valua- tions appear on the last equalized assessment roll of the County Assessor of County of San Diego, with such levy being made for all other purposes of said improvement district.
c. For Improvement District No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
(I) One Dollar and Forty-Three Cents ($1.43) for each $100.00 of assessed valuation on all property within the boundaries of
Improvement District No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Water
District as such assessed valuations appear on the last
equalized assessment roll of the County Assessor of County
of San Diego, with such levy being made for bond retirement purposes.
(2) One cent ($ .01) for each $100.00 of assessed valuation on all property within the boundaries of Improvement District
No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District as such assessed valuations appear on the last equalized assessment roll of the
County Assessor of County of San Diego, with such levy being made for all other purposes of said improvement district.
3. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District here-
by directs, that at the time and in the manner required by law for the levying of
taxes for county purposes, that the Board of Supervisors of County of San Diego
shall levy, in addition to such other tax as may be levied by said Board of
Supervisors, at the rates heretofore fixed and determined by the Board of
Directors of Carlsbad Municipal WaterDistrict, taxes upon the property within th
Carlsbad Municipal Water District; Improvement District No. 1 of Carlsbad Mun
icipal Water District and Improvement District No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Watt

District as hereinabove set forth.
4. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District herel:
directs that the territory excluded from Carlsbad Municipal Water District undei
the provisions of Ordinance 7 of said District shall not be subject to taxation
by Carlsbad Municipal Water District or Improvement District No. 1 thereof.
5. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District hereb
directs that this Resolution shall take effect immediately and shall be effective
for purposes of taxation during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1960 and
ending June 30, 1961.
6. That the Secretary of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District is hereby
authorized and directed to forward three certified copies of this resolution to thc
Board of Supervisors of County of San Diego.

foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the Board of Directors of said district
at a regular meeting of the said Board held on the 16th day of August, 1960, and
that it was adopted by the following vote:
