RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTOIPS OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
DECLARING THE NECESSITY FOR INCURRING A BONDED INDEBTEDNESS TO BE PAYABLE FROM TAXES LEVIED UPON LESS THAN ALL OF THE DISTRICT AND FIXING TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING AND GIVING NOTICE OF HEARING.

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
deems it necesarary for the district to incur a bonded
Indebtedness to be payable from taxes levied upon less than
all of the distrlot;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Direotors of
CAWBAD MUEICIPAL WAT3:R DISTRICT
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER a8 foiiowa:
Section 1. That it is deemed necessary for said
district to Incur a bonded iridsbtedness, to be payable
from taxes levied upon leas than all of the district
(said area to be known as Improvement District No. 4) for the purpose of the acquisition and construction of a waterworks system, including a dam and a reservoir, and including for
the i'oregoing conduits, pipelines, works, macninery and other property (including lands and easements) useful or necessary to store, convey, supply or otherwise make use of water for
the lands and inhabitants witnin the exterior boundaries of
said Improvement District No. 4, and including expenses of all proceedings for the authorization, issuance and sale of the bonds.

Section 2. That the amount of the proposed debt
to be incurred for which bonds are to be issued therefor
is the sum of $690,000.
Section 3. That this Board intends to form an
improvement district of a portion of the district which in
the opinion of the Board will be benefited, the exterior
boundaries of which portion are set forth on a map on file
with the Secretary of the District, which map shall govern
for-all details as to the extent of the proposed improvement
district, and to call an election in such proposed improve-
merit district on a date to be fixed, for the purpose of
submitting to the qualified voters thereof the proposition
Of incurring indebtedness by the issuance of bonds of the
district for said improvement district.
Section 4. That taxes for the payment of said
bonds and the interest thereon shall be levied exclusively
upon the taxable property in the improvement district.
Section 5. That a general description of the pro-
posed improvement, together with a map showing the exterior
boundaries of said proposed Improvement district with relation
to the territory immediately contiguous thereto and to the
proposed improvement is on file with the Secretary of the
district and is available for inspection by any person or
persons interested.
Section 6. That Tuesday the 15th day of
November , 1960, at the hour of ZSCBL o'clock p .M. on
said day, is hereby fixed as the time, and the meeting place

of the Board of Directors of CARLSBAp l¶JNICIPAL W&&R DISTRICT at
2698 State Street is hereby fixed as the place for a hearing by the
Board of Directors of said district on the questions of the formation
of said proposed improvement district, the extent thereof, the
proposed improvement and the amount of debt to be incurred.
at said time and place any person interested, including all persons
awning property in the district or in the proposed improvement district,
will be heard.
That
Section 7. That the Secretary of the Board of Directors is
hereby ordered and directed to cause notice of said hearing to be
given by publishing a copy of this resolution once a week for two (2)
successive weeks prior to the time for said hearing above stated in
the CARl,SBAp JOURNAL, a newspaper of general circulation printed and
published in the district. Said notice shall also be given by posting
a copy of this resolution in six (6) public places within the proposed
improvement district at least two (2) weeks before the time fixed for
said hearing.

of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing
resolution was duly adopted by the Board of Directors of said district
at a regular meeting of said Board held on the 4th. day of October, 1960,
and that it was so adopted by the following vote:
