RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CARLSBAD MUNK! PAL WATER DISTRICT A WARDING
CONTRACT FOR CC3NSTRUCTION OF PUMPING STATION FOR INIFPROVEM€CNT DISTRICT NO. 3 OF CARLSBAD
STATION MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT - UNIT rlBrt PUMPING
WHEREAS, on February 7, 1961, at 2:OO o'clock P. M. at the office of the District at 2698 State Street, Carlsbad, California, the
time and place fixed for the opening of bids on the Pumping Station
for Improvement District No. 3 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District Unit IrBt' Pumping Station, said bids were properly opened, examined
and read, and referred to the District's Zngineer, Boyle Engineering,
for a report on the lowest acceptable bid; and
WHEREAS, Boyle Engineering have examined said bids and
made a report to the Board; and
WHEREAS, the Board determined that it. is to the best interests
of the District to award the contract for the construction of the
Pumping Station fDr Improvement District No. 3 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District - Unit 'B" mmping Station,
NOW THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE,
DETERMINE AND AWARD AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the bid of WM. R. CRAILE CONSTRUCTION, INC.,
a corporation, in the amount of $38, 429.00 is the lowest bid for the
Construction of said pumping station for Improvement District No. 3 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District - Unit "B" Pumping Station and that the next lowest bid for said pumping station is the bid of
MANCO CONSTRUCTION CO., a corporation in the amount of $42, 748. 00 is the next lowest bid for said pumping station for Improve- ment District No. 3 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District Unit "B"
Pumping Station.
2. That the bid of WM. R. CRAILE CONSTRUCTION, INC.,
in the amount of $38, 429. 00 for the construction of pumping station for Improvement District No. 3, Unit trB", Pumping Station, is hereby
acoepted, and the contract awarded to WM. R. CRAILE CONSTRUCTION,
INC.
3. That all other bids are rejected and the deposit made by said
bidders is ordered returned to said bidders, with the exception of the
bid of MANCO CONSTRUCTION CO. , which is the next lowest and
best bid, which shall be rejected and returned when WM. R. CRAILE
CONSTRUCTION, INC. , execute the contracts and qualifies.
execute the necessary contracts on behalf of and in the name of the
Carlsbad Municipal Water District.
4. That the President and Secretary are hereby authorized to
ADOPTED, SIGNED, AND APPROVED this 7th day of March , 1961.

of said District at a regula meeting of said board held on the 7thday
of March 196 1 and that it was so adopted by the following vote.
