RESOLUTION OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DETERMINING THE AMQUNTS NECESSARY TO
BE RAISED BY TAXATION IN THE CARLSBAD ILITJNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 of CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 2,
OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 3 OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT,
AND INIPROVENIENT DISTRICT NO. 4 OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DURING THE: FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 1961 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1962, AND FIXING THF: RATES
OF TAXES TO BE LEVIED FOR SUCH FISCAL YEAR.
WHEREAS, Section 34 of Municipal Water District Act of 1911, as
amended, provided that the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water
District shall determine the amounts necessary to be raised by taxation during
the fiscal year and that the Board of Directors shall fix the rates of tax to be
levied which raise the amounts of money required by the district; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water Dis-
trict are required to certify to the Board of Supervisors of the County of
San Diego, the rate or rates so fixed and shall furnish to the said Board of
Supervisors a statement in writing containing the following:
a. An estimate of the minimum amount of money required to
be raised by taxation during the fiscal year for the payment
of the principal of and interest on any bonded debt of the
district or an improvement district thereof as will become
due before the proceeds of a tax levied at the next general
tax levy will be available.
b. An estimate of the minimum amount of money required to
be raised by taxation during the fiscal year for all other
purposes of the district; and
WHEREAS, Carlsbad Municipal Water District did exclude certain territory
from its boundaries by Ordinance No. 7 of said district, which was adopted on
September 5, 1956, and filed with Secretary of State of State of California on
October 24, 1956; and
WHEREAS, the said Secretary of State did on October 24, 1958, issue
his certificate of exclusion; a certified copy of which was filed with the County
Clerk of the County of San Diego, on or about November I, 1956; and
WHEREAS, at the time of the aforementioned exclusion no bonded
indebtedness existed against the said excluded territory; and
WHEREAS, there have been duly formed within the boundaries of the
Carlsbad Municipal Water District four improvement districts known as :
Lmprovement District No. 1 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District,
Improvement District No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District, Improvement District No. 3 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District, and Improvement District No. 4 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District.
and;
WHEREAS, there now exists a bonded indebtedness against said Im-
provement District No. 1, said Improvement District No. 2, and said Improve-
ment District No. 3; and
WHEREAS, bonds in the sum of $690,000 have been authorized by the
voters in Improvement District No. 4 and it is estimated by the Board of
Directors that money will be required to be raised by taxation during the fiscal
year for the payment of principal and interest on said bonds which will become
due before the proceeds of a tax levied at the next general tax levy will be
available; and
WHEREAS, in the judgment of the Board of Directors of Carlsbad
Municipal Water District, the revenues of the district and the improvement dis-
tricts therein will probably be inadequate to pay the principal and interest on the
bonded debt of the said improvement districts and all other amounts set forth
in Section 23, Municipal Water District Act of 1911, as amended.
NOW THEREFORE THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District
hereby determines that the estimated minimum amounts necessary to be
raised by taxation during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1961 and ending
June 30, 1962, are as follows:
a. Carlsbad Municipal Water District:

None for the payment of any principal and interest for bonded debt of said district.
$14, 518.00 for all other purposes of the district.
Improvement District No. 1 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District.
$21, 186.00 for the payment of principal and interest 09 the bonded
debt of said improvement district.
None for all other purposes of said improvement district.
Improvement District No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District.
$14, 818.00 for the paymnt of principal and interest on the bonded debt of said improvement district.
None for all other purposes of said improvement district.
Improvement District No. 3 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District.
$32, 000.00 for the payment of principal and interest on the bonded debt of said improvement district.
None for all other purposes of said improvement district.
Improvement District No. 4 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District
$17, 165.00 for the payment of principal and interest on the bonded
debt of said Improvement District
None for all other purposes of said improvement district.
That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District
hereby fixes the rates of taxes to be levied in the Carlsbad Municipal Water
District as follows:

For Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
Fox cents ($. 04) for each $100.00 of assessed valuation on
all properties within the boundaries of Carlsbad Municipal Water
District, as such assessed valuation appears on the last
equalized assessed roll of the County Assessor of County of San Diego, with such levy being made for all 0th r purposes of
said district, other than for bond retirement purposes.
For Improvement District No. 1 of Carlsbad Municipal Water
District:
Six cents ($. 06) for each $100.00 of assessed valuation on all property within the boundaries of Improvement District No. 1 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District as such assessed valuation appears on the last equalized assessment roll of the County Assessor of San Diego County, with such levy being made for bond retirement purposes.
For Improvement District No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District :

Ninety Three Cents ($, 93) for each $100.00 of assessed valuation
on all property within the boundaries of Improvement District
No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District as such assessed valuation appears on the last equalized assessed roll of the County
Assessor of County of San Diego, with such levy being made for bond retirement purposes.
For Improvement District No. 3 of Carlsbad Municipal Water
District:
Two Dollars and Forty Seven Cents ($2.47) for each $100.00 of
assessed valuation on all property within the boundaries of
Improvement District No. 3 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District
as such assessed valuation appears on the last equalized assessment roll of the County Assessor of San Diego County,
with such levy being made for bond retirement purposes.
For Improvement District No, 4 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District :
Five cents ($. 051 for each $100.00 of assessed valuation on all property within the boundaries of Improvement District No. 4 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District as such assessed valuktion appears on the last equalized assessed roll of the County Assessor of County of San Diego, with such levy being made for bond retirement purposes.
That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District
hereby directs, that at the time and in the manner required by law for the levying
of taxes for county purposes, that the Board of Supervisors of County of San Diego
shall levy, in addition to such other tax as may be levied by said Board of
Supervisors, at the rates heretofore fixed and determined by the Board of
Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District, taxes upon the property within
the Carlsbad Municipal Water District; Improvement District No. 1 of Carlsbad
Municipal Water District; Improvement District No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District; Improvement District No. 3 of Carlsbad Municipal Water Dis-
trict, and Improvement District NO. 4 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District
as hereinabove set forth.
4. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District
hereby directs that the territory excluded from Carlsbad Municipal Water Dis-
trict under the provisions of Ordinance 7 of said District shall not be subject
to taxation by Carlsbad Municipal Water District or Improvement District
No. 1 thereof.

5. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District
hereby directs that this Resolution shall take effect immediately and shall be
effective for purposes of taxation during the fiscal year commencing July I,
1961 and ending June 30, 1962.
6. That the Secretary of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District is
hereby authorized and directed to forward three certified copies of this
resolutioa to the Board of Supervisors of County of San Diego.
