RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION TO APPROPRIATE UNAP -
PROPRIATED WATER WITH THE STATE WATER RIGHTS BOARD
OF STATE OF CALIFORNIA AND AUTHORIZING AWD DIRECTING
THE PRESIDENT OF THE DISTRICT AND THE BOARD OF DIRECT-
ORS THEREOF TO EXECUTE THE APPLICATION.
WHEFCEAS, the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District
is constructing a reservoir, commonly referred to as Squires Dam; and
WHEREAS, BOYLE ENGINEERING, the district engineer has recommended
to the Board of Directors that an application to appropriate unappropriated water
that may be in the watershed of canyon wherein Squires Dam is to be constructed
be filed with State Water Rights Board, State of California; and
WHEREAS, The Board of Directors deems it to be to the best interests
of the District and the inhabitants thereof to file said application.
NOW THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HERI3BY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. That CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT file an
application to appropriate unappropriated water with State
Water Rights Board, State of California on the canyon
wherein the Squires Dam is to be located.
2. The the President of tk District and of the Board of
Directors thereof be authorized and directed to execute
any documents in connection with said application for and
on behalf of Carlsbad Municipal Water District.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 17th day of October, 1961.

resolution was duly adopted by the Board of Directors of said District and
approved by the President of said District at a regular meeting of said Board
held on the 17th day of October, 1961, and that it was so adopted by the following
