RESOUT!PION OF BOARD OF DIR.ECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DEXfARING ITS 1N"TIOm
TO APPROVE CONTRACT PROVIDING FOR PARTICIPATION IN STATE DTLOYEESf RETIRB%NT SYSTEM.
7 rxHEREAs, the State Ehployees 1 Retirement Law perxdts the participation
of Public Agencies in the State Employeesf Retirement System, ddng their
employees members of said System, and sets forth the procedure by which
participation may be accomplished; and
iJHEREAS, one step in said procedure is the adoption by $he Governing
Body of the Public Agency of a resolution giving notice of intention to approve
a contract for such participation between said governing body and the Retirement System Board of Administration, which resolution shall contain a summary of the major provisions of the proposed retirement plan; and
WHEREAS, attached is a summary of the major provisions of the proposed
Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the BOARD OF DI~CTORS OF THE
CARLSBAD YUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT gives, and it does hereby give notice of
intention to approve a contract between said BOARD OF DIRECTOR3 ABD the Board
of Administration of the State Employeest Retirement System, providing for
participation of sad CARISBAD WNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT in said Retirement System, a copy of the sumnary of the major provisions of the proposed plan and a copy of said contract being attached hereto, marked "Exhibits A and B" respectively, and Ey this reference made a part hereof.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of October, 1%2.
