RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT ORDERIVC THAT NO ELECTION SHALL BE KELD IN DIVISION NO. 3 OF THE CARISBAD ?4UNTCIPAL WATER DISTSICT IN ACCORDANCE WITH DIVISION 20, SECTTON 715lD OF "E WATFR CODE
AND DIRECTIPG SECRJ3TARY OF THE BOARD OF DIFI.?XTORS TO REQWEXT THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF SAN DIETB CO'(TE'TY TO APPOINT FRED W. MAERKIJ3 AS DITiECTOR FROM DIVISION NO. 3 OF SAID WA'ITR DISTSICT.
WHEREAS, the sixty-fifth day prior to the day fixed
for the district general elections has passed; and
WHEXEAS, omly one person has been nominated to serve
as a member of the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District from Division No. 3; and
WHEREAS, F!BD W. MAE= is tha only prson who has
been mminated to serve ag a member of the Board of Directors
of Carlsbad Municipal Water Mstrict from Mvision No. 3 of
said District5 and
WHEREAS, Division XI, Section '7l5lD of the Water Code
requires that the Board of Directors of the Water Dietrict shall
pass a resolution that an sleetion shall not be held when only
one person has been nominated to serve as a mmber of the Board
of Directors of Water Mstrict within any one division.
NOW, TKEREmRE, THE BOARD OF DIRRCTORS OF THE CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES KERFBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. That an election shall not be held ia Division
No. 3 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District on June 2, 1%4*
2. That the Secretary of this Board b hereby directed
to entar this resolution in full in the minutes of this Board.
3. That the Seerotary of this Board is directed to for-
ward a copy of this resolution to the Board of Supervisors of
San Diego County with the request that the said Board of Super-
visors appoint FRED W. YA9R"LF: to the office of a member of the

Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water Mstrict From
Division No. 3 in accordance with Divisfon 20, Section 7153.0
of the Water Code.
ADOPTED, SIGNED, AYD APPROVED this 21st day of
April, 1%.
