HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-12-18; Municipal Water District; Resolution 232c RESOLUTION NO. 232 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DETERMINING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATES OF PER DIEM WAGES FOR THE EXECUTION OF THE CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF LA COSTA RESERVOIR AND D-2 RESERVOIR, IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 2, CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, i i WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER I DISTRICT has authorized and will in the immediate future invite 1 sealed proposals for public work for La Costa Reservoir and D-2 Reservoir, Improvement District No, 2, Carlsbad Municipal Water t District, NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL - WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: 1. APPRENTICES may be employed in - conformity with Section 1777.5 of the California Labor Code. WELDERS: Same wage scale as craft to which welding is incidental (except as otherwise separately classified.) OVERTIME AND HOLIDAY WORKS: Not less than 1-1/2 times the above prevailing rates of wages shall be paid for overtime work and for work on the following legal holidays: All Sundays, January 1, May 30, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and December 25, with a modification as to the enumerated holidays set forth as provided in Section 6701 of the Government Code. ! c 2. It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractors under him, r to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workmen employed in the execution of the contract. 3. The preceding determined rates of wages ar.e applicable only to work done under the contract for construction of La Costa Reservoir and D-2 Reservoir, Improvement District No, 2, Carlsbad Municipal Water District, and do not apply to any work under contract ordered prior to the date of this resolution.
