A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT OPPOSING
THE ADOPTION OF ASSEMBLY BILL NO, 2054
WHEREAS, Assembly Bill No. 2054, as amended, requires
that the formation of any special district by a existing
governmental agency to secure the approval of the local agency
formation commission: and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Water District Act of 1911, as
amended, already provides for a procedure for the establishment
of any special districts within a municipal water district; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed that Assembly Bill No. 2054 as
now presented presents a conflict with existing procedure for
the formation of special districts by a municipal water district.
NOW THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
1. That Board of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT do hereby oppose the adoption of
Assembly Bill No. 2054 and urge all members of the
ATTEST:
State Legislature to oppose the adoption of Assembly
Bill No, 2054.
2, That the Secretary of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
and of the Board of Directors thereof is authorized
and directed to disseminate this information to
appropriate parties.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6th day of August, 1969.

Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, DO HEREBY
CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by
the Board of Directors of said District at a regular meeting
of said Board held on the 6th day of August, 1969, and that
it was so adopted by the following vote:
AYES : Directors: Carmichael, Kelly, McLeod
and Maerkle.
NOES : Directors: None.
ABSENT: Directors: Palmer.
