A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CARLSBAD MUNI- CIPAL WATER DISTRICT ORDERING THAT NO GENERAL DISTRICT ELECTION SHALL BE HELD ON June 2, 1970, AND REQUESTING THAT THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF SAN DIEGO COUNTY APPOINT NOMINATED PERSONS TO THE OFFICE AS DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT.'

WHEREAS, a notice stating the date of the Carlsbad
Municipal Water District general election was duly published
and stated the offices to be filled at said election were di-
rectors for Division I, Division I1 and Division V of said
District; and
WHEREAS, thereafter and prior to the 74th day fixed for
the general district election, only one person had been
nominated for each office of director to be filled at the
election, namely:
DIVISION I - JOHN T. PALMER
DIVISION I1 - WILLIAM D. CA'RMICHAEL
DIVISION V - ALLAN 0. KELLY
WHEREAS, Section 71510, Water Code, State of California,
requires that the Board of Directors'of a municipal water
district shall by resolution entered in its minutes order
that an election shall not be held, and shall immediately
request the Board of Supervisors of the principal County
to make an appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. That a general district election for Carlsbad Muni-
cipal Water District shall not be held on June 2,
1970.
2. That the Board of Supervisors of San Diego County
_- are hereby requested to appoint the following

persons to the office of Director of the
Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
Division I - JOHN T. PALMER
Division I1 - WILLIAM D. CARMICHAEL
DIVISION V - ALLAN 0. KELLY
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 1st day of
April, 1970,

CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by
the Board of Directors of said District at a regular meet-
ing of said Board held on the 1st day of April, 1970, and
that it was so adopted by the following vote:

the same has not been amended or repealed.
