A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR
CONSTRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF WATER SYSTEM RELOCA-
TIONS AND EXTENSIONS FOR EL CAMINO F?EAL HIGHWAY
PROJECT, CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, pursuant to due publication of advertisement
for bids for the construction and completion of water system re-
locations and extensions for El Camino Real Highway Project,
Carlsbad Municipal Water District, two (2) sealed bids were filed
with the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District
prior to 2:OO o'clock P.M./ on April 1, 1970, as required by said
advertisement; and
WHEREAS, said bids were opened and publicly read aloud
at the time and place specified in said advertisement, and it
was determined that bids had been submitted by the following:
BARRON and ECKHART ENGINEERING CONTRACTORS, for a total bid of $245,711.50; and
DON HUBBARD CONTRACTING CO., for a total bid of
$187,906.00; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the bid of DON
HUBBARD CONTRACTING CO. in the total amount of One Hundred Eighty
Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Six Dollars ($187,906.00) is the
lowest responsible bid; and said bid complies with said advertise-
ment for bids and the contract documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD MUNI-
CIPAL WATER DISTRICT, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the bid submitted by DON HUBBARD CONTRACTING CO.
for the furnishing of all transportation, equipment, labor, ser-
vices, supplies and materials and the performance of a11 work for
said project, said bid being filed with the Board of Directors of
Carlsbad Municipal Water District, is the lowest responsible bid

received for said work, that said bidder is the lowest responsible
bidder, and that the contract for the performance of said work is
hereby awarded to said bidder for the sum of One Hundred Eighty
Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Six Dollars ($187,906.00), the price
named in said bid for doing said work. -..
, 2. That the President and Secretary of the Board of Di-
rectors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District, for and on behalf of
said District, are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
contract with said bidder for doing said work upon the execution,
delivery and filing of the required bonds and of the contract by
said bidder in the form and manner required by said advertisement
for bids and other contract documents, incorporated herein by re-
ference.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 22nd day of April,
1970.
