A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AUTHORIZING MEMBERSHIP IN
THE CALIFORNIA SPECIAL DISTRICTS ASSOCIATION:
APPOINTMENT OF REPRESENTATIVE THERETO
WHEREAS, the California Special Districts Association is
an association of special districts organized and existing to
initiate, sponsor, promote, and carry out plans, policies, and
activities in furtherance of subjects relating to the powers and
duties and common business interests of special districts within
the state of California, and for the interchange of information
relating to such powers and duties;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Secretary to the Board of Directors is hereby
authorized and directed to apply for and effect the membership of
Carlsbad Municipal Water District in the California Special Dis-
tricts Association.

2. That such membership shall be maintained, and the
annual dues therein shall be paid until such time as the Board of
Directors shall otherwise direct.
3. That Fred W. Maerkle or W. D. Carmichael is hereby ap-
pointed as the person to exercise all voting privileges and rights
of membership pursuant to the by-laws of said California Special
Districts Association on behalf of Carlsbad Municipal Water Dis-
trict.
4. The Secretary to the Board of Directors is hereby
directed to notify the Secretary of the California Special
.- Districts Association in writing of the appointment of Fred W.
Maerkle or W. D. Carmichael as set forth in paragraph 3 hereof.

I, W. D. CARMICHAEL, Secretary of the Board of Directors
of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that the
foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the Board of Directors
of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT at a regular meeting of said
Board held on tkE 16th day of Deceniber, 1970, and that it was so
adopted by the following vote:
AYES : Directors : Carmichael, Kelly, McLeod,
Maerkle and Palmer.
NOES : Directors : None.
ABSENT: Directors: None.
