RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT MAKING
APPLICATION FOR THE DETACHMENT OF mRRITORY
FROM SAID DISTRICT AND SEEKING THE APPROVAL
OF THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION OF
THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO.
(LA COSTA MEADOWS DETACHMENT)
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad
Municipal Water District desires to initiate proceedings for
the detachment from said District of the territory hereinafter
described.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND
ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Application and a proposal is hereby made
to the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San
Diego for a change of organization as follows: -
A. This proposal is made pursuant to the District
Reorganization Act of 1965 commencing with Section 56000 of the
Government Code of the State of California.
B. The nature of the proposed change of organization
and the names of all districts for which any such change of
organization is proposed is as follows:
1. The detachment of the hereinafter described
territory from the Carlsbad Municipal Water
District.
C. The names of all other affected counties, cities
and districts are:
1. The County of San Diego
2. The San Diego County Water Authority
3. The Metropolitan Water Authority
4. The Buena Colorado Municipal Water District
5. The San Marcos County Water District.

D. The territory proposed to be detached from the
Carlsbad Municipal Water District is uninhabited. A description
of the exterior boundaries of said territory is set forth in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof.

It is desired that the proposed detachment provide
for and be made subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. The payment of all costs of said detachment,
including but not limited to, advertising,
engineering, and attorney's fees.
E. The reasons for this proposal are as follows:
1, The territory can better be served with
water by the Buena Colorado Municipal Water
District and San Marcos County Water District.
Section 2: The Secretary of said District is hereby
authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this Resolution
with the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission
of the County of San Diego, State of California, and the Secretary _-
of the District is hereby authorized and directed to provide to
the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San Diego
such information and/or maps as may be required by the Formation
Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of December, 1970.

Water District and of the Board of Directors thereof, DO HEREBY
certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the
Board of Directors of said District at a regular meeting of the
said Board held on the 16th day of December, 1970, and that it
was adopted by the following vote:
AYES : MAERKLE, CARMICHAEL, KELLY, MacLEOD and PALMER.
NOES : None
ABSENT: None.

That portion of the East Half of Section 25, Township 12 South, Range.4 West, San Bernardino Meridian, according to the Official plat thereof on file in the Office of the County Recorder of
the County of San Diego, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Section 25, thence South
0°51'37" West along the East line of said Section 25, a distance
of 1738.23 feet; thence leaving said East line North 21"16'00"
West, 142.54 feet; thence North 24°00'00" West 363.62 feet;
thence North 17°50'30" West 286.04 feet; thence North 0°10'47" East, 36.81 feet; thence North 17"50'30" West, 120.00 feet; thence North 72°09'30" East, 145.00 feet; thence North 17°50'30" West,
212.50 feet; thence South 72'09'30" West, 139.00 feet; thence
North 17"50'30" West, 223.33 feet: thence North 0°22'13" East,
276.07 feet; thence South 89'37'47" East, 140.00 feet; thence
North 0°22'13" East 160.00 feet; to the North line of the above
mentioned Section 25; thence South 89"37'47" East along said North line a distance of 335.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
