RESOLUTION OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT ESTABLISHING
LEGAL HOLIDAYS FOR CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT previously estab- .--
lished the holidays of the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, by
Ordinance No. 19, adopted January 2, 1963, and
WHEREAS, Section 6700 of the Government Code of the State of
California has been amended changing the dates of some State Legal
Holidays, and
WHEREAS, Section 6700 of the Government Code of the State of
California now provides that a district shall adopt a resolution
establishing legal holidays in order for said section to be applicable
to said district,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. Ordinance No. 19 is hereby rescinded.
2. The Legal Holidays for the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT

Every Saturday.
Every Sunday.
January 1st.
February 12th, known as "Lincoln Day. I'
The third Monday in February.
Good Friday from 12 noon until 3:OO p.m.
The last Monday in May.
July 4th.
The first Monday in September.
September 9th. known as "Admission Day."
The second Monday in October, known as "Columbus Day. I'
The fourth Monday in October, known as "Veterans I Day.
The Thursday in November appointed as "Thanksgiving Day."
December 25th.
Every day on which an election is held throughout the State,
3. The above holidays shall exist for each calendar year
hereafter.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd- day of November, 1971.
