RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DIS-
TRICT MAKING APPLICATION FOR THE DE-
TACHMENT OF TERRITORY FROM SAID DIS-
TRICT AND SEEKING THE APPROVAL OF
THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMIS-
SION OF THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Carls-
bad Municipal Water District desires to initiate proceed-
ings for the detachment from said District of the terri-
tory hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE,
DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Application and a proposal is hereby
made to the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County
of San Diego for a change of organization as follows:
A. This proposal is made pursuant to the Dis-
trict Reorganization Act of 1965 commencing with Section
56000 of the Government Code of the State of California.
B. The nature of the proposed change of orga-
nization and the names of all districts for which any such
change of organization is proposed is as follows:
1. The detachment of the hereinafter
described territory from the Carls-
bad Municipal Water District.
C. The names of all other affected counties,
cities and districts are:
1. The County of San Diego.
2. The San Diego County Water Authority.
3. The Metropolitan Water Authority.
4. The City of Oceanside.
D. The territory proposed to be detached from
the Carlsbad Municipal Water District is uninhabited. A
description of the exterior boundaries of said territory
is set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a
part hereof.
It is desired that the proposed detachment pro-
vide for and be made subject to the following terms and
conditions :
1. The payment of all costs of said
detachment, including but not
limited to, advertising, engineer-
ing, and attorneys' fees.
E. The reasons for this proposal are as follows:
1. The territory can better be served
with water by the City of Oceanside.
Section 2: The Secretary of said District is
hereby authorized and directed to file a certified copy of
this Resolution with the Executive Officer of the Local
Agency Formation Commission of the County of San Diego,
State of California, and the Secretary of the District is
hereby authorized and directed to provide to the Local Agen-
cy Formation Commission of the County of San Diego such
information and/or maps as may be required by the Formation
Commission.

trict at a regular meeting of the said Board held on the
19th day of April, 1972, and that it was adopted by the
following vote:

KELLY, and MacLEOD.
NOES : None.

ANNEXATION PARCEL TO CITY OF OCEANSIDE
All that portion of Lot A as shown on Granville Park No. 2 Subdivision Map No. 2037, filed June 18, 1927 in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California, more particularly described as follows :
Commencing at the Northeasterly corner of said Lot A, said
point being also on the Southerly line of Lot 2 of Section 1, T12S, R5W, S.B.B.M.; thence North 89O53'45" West along the Northerly line of said Lot A and the'southerly line of said Lot 2 of Section 1,' a distance of 365.82 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot 3 of said Section 1, said point be- ing a point in the boundary of the City of Oceanside; thence continuing North 89O53'45" West, 495.51 feet along
the Southerly line of said Lot 3, Section 1 and the Northerly line of said Lot 2, Granville Part to an intersection with
the centerline of a 40 foot easement described in Book 69- 96, Page 102 of Deeds, said point being the TRUE POINT OF
BEGINMING; thence retracing South 89O53'45" East along said Southerly line of Lot 3, Section 1 and said Northerly line of Lot A, Granville Park, a distance of 265.75 feet to an intersection with a nontangent 300 foot radius curve con- cave Northwesterly, a radial to which bears South 53O26'04"
East; thence leaving said City limits line and said common . line of Lots A and 3 Westerly along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 14O59'14" a distance of 80.12 feet; thence tangent to said curve South 51O33'10" West to the mean high tide line of the Pacific Ocean; thence North- erly along said mean high tide line to an intersection with the aforementioned Northerly line of Lot A of Granville Park and the Southerly line of Lot 3 of Section 1 and the
City limits of the City of Oceanside; thence Easterly along said Northerly line of Lot A, Granville Park and Southerly line of Lot 3, Section 1 to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
