WHEREAS, Sections 72090 through 72099, inclusive, of
the Water Code, provide that the Board of Directors of Carlsbad
Phi cipal Water District shall determine the amount necessary
to be raised by taxation during the fiscal year and that the
Board of Girectors shall fix the rate or rates of tax to be
levied which will raise the amounts of money required by the
Di s tri ct ; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal
Water Gistrict are required to certify to the Board of Supervi-
sors of the County of San Ciego and the County Auditor of the
County of San Diego the rate or rates so fixed and shall furnish
a statement in writing containing the following:
(a) An estimate of the minimum amount of money
required to be raised by taxation during
the fiscal year for the payment of the
principal of and interest on any bonded
debt of the District or an improvement dis-
tri ct therein that wi 11 become due before
the proceeds of a tax levied at the next
general tax levy will be available.
(b) An estimate of the minimum amount of money
required to be raised by taxation during
the fiscal year for all other purposes of
c
the District; and
WHEREAS , Carlsbad Runi ci pal Water Di stri ct did excl ude
certain territory from its boundaries by Ordinance No. 7 of said
Cistrict, which was adopted on September 5, 1956, and filed with
the Secretary of State of the State of California on October 24,
1956; alid
WEREAS, the said Secretary of State did on October 24,
1956, issue his certificate of exclusion, a certified copy of
which was filed with the County Clerk of the County of San Diego
on or about November 1, 1956; and
WHEREAS, at the time of the aforementioned exclusion,
no bonded indebtedness existed against the said excluded terri-
tory; and
WHEREAS, there have been duly formed within the
boundaries of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District four
ment districts known as Improvement District No. 1 of the
mprove-

the Carlsbad Municipal Water District, Improvement Listrict No.
3 of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District, and Improvement Dis-
trict 140. 4 of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District; and
WHEREAS, there now exists a bonded indebtedness against
each of said Improvement Districts; and
NHEREAS, in the judgment of the Board of Directors of
Carlsbad Kuni cipal Water Di stri ct , the revenues of the District
and the Improvement District therein wi 11 probably be inadequate
to pay the principal and interest of the bonded debt of the said
Improvement Districts and all other amounts set forth in Section
71616 of the Water Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUFiICIPAL WATER DISTRICT WES HEREBY DETERMINE AiiL RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS :
1. That the Board of Li rectors of Carlsbad Municipal

Water District hereby deteraines that the estimated minimum
amounts necessary to be raised by taxation during the fiscal
year commencing July 1, 1972, and ending June 30, 1973 are
as follows:

Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
None for the payment of any principal and interest for bonded debt of said Water Di stri ct.

Improvement District No. 1 of Carlsbad Kunicipal Water District:
$70,082.00 for payment of principal and interest on the bonded debt of said Im- provemen t Di stri ct .
None for all other purposes of the District.
Improvement Cistrict No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
$52,710.00 for payment of principal and interest on the bonded debt of said Im- provement District.
hone for all other purposes of the District.
Improvement District No. 3 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
interest on the bonded debt of said Im- p rovemen t Di s tri ct .
Hone for all other purposes of the ilistrict.
Improvement District No. 4 of Carlsbad
Kuni ci pal Nater District:
$43,334.00 for payment of principal and
interest on the bonded debt of said Im- provement District.
None for all other purposes of the District.
That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal
$121,741 .OO for all other purposes of
$31,324.00 for payment of principal and
Water District hereby fixes the rates of taxes to be levied in
the Carlsbad Kunicipal Water Gistrict as follows :
(a) For Carl sbad Runi ci pal Water Di stri ct :
(1) ation on all properties within the boundaries s.14 for each $100.00 of assessed valu-

of Carlsbad Municipal Water District, as such assessed valuation appears on the last equal-
ized assessed roll of the County Assessor of the County of San Diego.

(b) For Improvement District No. 1 of Carlsbad
(1) $ .08 for each $100.00 of assessed valua-
tion on all property within the boundaries of
Improvement Cistrict No. 1 of Carlsbad Munici- pal Water District as such assessed valuations appear on the last equalized assessment roll of the County Assessor of the County of San Diego, with such levy being made for bond retirement purposes.
(2) No levy is required on property within the boundaries of the Improvement District No. 1
of Carlsbad Municipal Water Cistrict for all other purposes of said Improvement Ci stri ct .
(c) For Improvement District No. 2 of Carlsbad Mun i c i pa 1 W a t e r Di s t r i c t :
(1) $ .29 for each $100.00 of assessed valua-
tion on all property within the boundaries of
Improvement District No. 2 of the Carlsbad hni-
cipal Water District as such assessed valuations
appear on the last equalized assessment roll of the County Assessor of the County of San Diego, with such levy being made for bond retirement
purposes.
(2) No levy is required on property within the boundaries of the Improvement Oistrict No. 2 of Carl sbad Kuni ci pal Water Li stri ct for a1 1 other purposes of said Improvement Ci stri ct.

(cl) For Improvement District No. 3 of Carlsbad
(1) $ .45 for each $100.00 of assessed valua- tion on all properties within the boundaries of Improvenient District No. 3 of Carlsbad Muni- cipal \dater District as such assessed valuations appear on the last equalized assessment roll of the County Assessor of the County of San Diego, with such levy being made for bond retirement purposes.
(2) No levy is required on property within the
boundaries of Improvement District No. 3 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District for all other purposes of said Improvement District.
(e) For Improvement District No. 4 of Carlsbad Mun i c i p a 1 W a t e r Di s t r i c t :
(1) $ .05 for each $100.00 of assessed valua- tion on all properties within the boundaries of
Improvement District Ida. 4 of Carlsbad Munici- pal Nater Listrict as such assessed valuations

appear on the last equalized assessment roll
of the County Assessor of the County of San
Diego, with such levy being made for bond retirement purposes.
(2) No levy is required on property within
the boundaries of Improvement District Ro. 4
of Carlsbad Municipal Water District for all
other purposes of said Improvement District.
3. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal
Water Gistrict hereby directs, that at the time and in the manner
required by law for the levying of taxes for county purposes, the
Board of Supervisors of the County of San Diego shall levy, in
addition to such other tax as may be levied by said Board of
Supervisors , at the rates heretofore fi xed and deternii ned by the
Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Nater District, taxes
upon the property within the Carlsbad Municipal Water District;
Improvement Cistrict No. 1 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District,
Improvement District No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District ,
Improvement District No. 3 of Carlsbad Piiunicipal Water District,
and Improvement Gistrict No. 4 of Carlsbad Municipal Hater Gistrict
as hereinabove set forth.
4. Tnat the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Kunicipal
Nater District hereby directs that the territory excl uded from
Carlsbad Eluni cipal Water District under the provisions of
Ordinance 7 of said District, shall be subject to taxation by
Carlsbad Municipal Water District of Improvement District No. 1
thereof.
5. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal
Water Cistri ct hereby directs that this Resol ution shall take
effect iKmediately and shall be effective for purposes of taxation
during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1972, and ending June
30, 1973.
6. That the Secretary of the Carlsbad Municipal Water
District is hereby authorized and directed to forward three
certified copies of this Eesolution to the Board of Supervisors
of the County of San Liego.

certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the
Board of Directors of said Clistrict at a regular meeting of the
said Board held on the 16th day of August, 1972, and that it
was adopted by the following vote:
