RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIREZTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT ESTABLISHING LEGAL HOLIDAYS
FOR CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT previous-
ly established the legal holidays of the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT, by Resolution No. 276, adopted February 16,
1972; and
WHEREAS, the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT desires
to change and amplify said Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
1. Resolution No. 276 is hereby rescinded.
2. The legal holidays for the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT and its employees shall be as follows:

Every Saturday.
Every Sunday.
January 1st.
The third Monday in February.
The last Monday in May.
July 4th.
The first Monday in September.
The fourth Monday in October, known
as "Veterans ' Day" .
The Thursday in November appointed
as "Thanksgiving Day".
December 25th.

3. In the event that January 1, February 12, July 4,
September 9, or December 25 is a Saturday in a particular
year, the said legal holiday for the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT shall be the preceding Friday.
4. In the event that January 1, February 12, July 4,
September 9, or December 25 is a Sunday in a particular year,
the said legal holiday for the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT shall be the following Monday.
5. The above holidays shall exist for each calendar
year hereafter.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of June, 1974.

certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the
Board of Directors of said District at a regular meeting of the
said Board held on the 19th day of June, 1974, and that it was
adopted by the following vote:
AYES : Directors: Carmichael, Engelmann, Kelly,
MacLeod and Maerkle
NOES : Directors: None.
ABSENT : Directors: None.
