RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AWARD- ING THE CONTRACT FOR PAINTING OF VARIOUS RESERVOIRS FOR THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, pursuant to due publication of advertisement
for bids for the painting of various reservoirs for the
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, six (6) sealed bids were
filed with the Board of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT prior to 2:OO o'clock p. m. on June 5, 1974, as re-
quired by said advertisement; and
WHEREAS, said bids were opened and publicly read
aloud at the time and place specified in said advertisement,
and it was determined that bids had been submitted by the fol-
lowing in the following total amounts:
CALBLASCO, INC. $ 84,671.00
ROBINSON-BURNAP COMPANY, INC. $ 68,441.00
ACCENT PAINTING, INC . $ 89,080.00
W. E. WALTERS & SONS $ 53,700.00
JESS B. WORTHINGTON $ 92,026.00
ROBERT McMULLAN & SON $ 123,116.00
and
WHEREAS, W. E. WALTERS & SONS submitted the apparent
low bid of $53,700.00; and
WHEREAS, upon subsequent investigation and inquiry
by the District, W. E. WALTERS & SONS requested, in writing,
to withdraw their bid as a result of an error in their bidding
in reference to the work to be performed: and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT accepted the request of W. E. WALTER & SONS to

withdraw their bid; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the bid of
ROBINSON-BURNAP COMPANY, INC., in the total amount of Sixty-
eight Thousand Four Hundred Forty-one and no/100 Dollars
($68,441.00) is the lowest responsible bid, and said bid
complies with said advertisement for bids and the contract
documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS
FOLLOWS :
1. That the bid submitted by ROBINSON-BURNAP
COMPANY, INC. for the furnishing of all transportation,
materials, equipment, labor, services and supplies necessary
to paint various reservoirs for the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT, said bid being filed with the Board of Directors
of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, is the lowest responsible
bid received for said work; that said bidder is the lowest
responsible bidder; and that the contract for the performance
of said work is hereby awarded to said bidder for the sum of
Sixty-eight Thousand Four Hundred Forty-one and no/100
Dollars ($68,441.00), the price named in said bid for doing
said work.
2. That the President and Secretary of the Board
of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the contract with said
bidder for doing said work upon the execution, delivery and
filing of the required bonds and of the contract by said
bidder in the form and manner required by said advertisement
for bids and other contract documents, incorporated herein
by reference.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 12th day of

tors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, DO HEREBY CERTIFY
that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the Board
of Directors of said District, at an adjourned regular meeting
of said Board held on the 12th day of June, 1974, and that it
was adopted by the following vote:
AYES : Carmichael, Engelman, Kelly, MacLeod and Maerkle
NOES : None
ABSENT: None
