RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR PAINTING OF
"E" RESERVOIR, IN IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 3
WHEREAS, pursuant to due publication of advertisement
for bids for the painting of "E" Reservoir, Improvement Dis-
trict No. 3, nine (9) sealed bids were filed with the Board of
Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, prior to 2: 00
o'clock P.M., on November 6, 1974, as required by said adver-
tisement; and
WHEREAS, said bids were opened and publicly read

WHEREAS, it has been' determined that the bid of ACCENT
PAINTING, INC. in the total amount of Twenty Four Thousand
Three Hundred Ninety Six and no/100 Dollars ($24,396.00) is the
lowest responsible bid, and said bid complies with said adver-
tisement for bids and the contract documents; and

WHEREAS, the District Engineer has recommended that
the District, in awarding the contract, reserve the right to
substitute Alternate 1 for Item 2 of the base bid, during
the progress of the job.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS
FOLLOWS :
1. That the bid submitted by ACCENT PAINTING, INC.
for the furnishing of all transportation, materials, equip-
ment, labor, services and supplies necessary to paint "E"
Reservoir in Improvement District No. 3 for the CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, said bid being filed with the Board
of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, is the
lowest responsible bid received for said work; that said
bidder is the lowest responsible bidder; and that the con-
tract for the performance of said work is hereby awarded to
said bidder for the sum of Twenty Four Thousand Three Hundred
Ninety Six and no/100 Dollars ($24,396.00), the price named
in said bid for doing said work.
2. This bid is accepted upon the basis that the
contract will provide that the District reserves the right
during the progress of the job to substitute Alternate 1 for
Item 2 of the base bid.
3. That the President and Secretary of the Board
of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the contract with said
bidder for doing said work upon the execution, delivery and
filing of the required bonds and of the contract by said
bidder in the form and manner required by said advertisement
for bids and other contract documents, incorporated herein
by reference.

CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by
the Board of Directors of said District, at an adjourned
regular meeting of said Board held on the 20th day of
November, 1974, and that it was adopted by the following vote:
