RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT RELOCATING THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE FIVE DIVISIOI'JS FOR DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, Section 71540 of Water Code of State of
California provides, in part, that whenever a sufficient change
in the population occurs in a district after its organization
which makes it desirable, in the opinion of the Board, to relocate
the boundary or boundaries of any division or divisions, the Board
shall, by resolution, relocate the boundary lines of the division
or divisions, so as to equalize, as nearly as may be practicable,
the population in the respective divisions; and
WHEREAS, the District has carefully reviewed the
existing population of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Board of Directors
of Carlsbad Municipal Water District that it is desirable to
relocate the boundary lines of the five divisions within the dis-
trict to equalize, as nearly as practicable, the population in the
respective divisions.
NOW, TIIEREFOIIE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS :
1. The new boundaries of the five divisions for dir-
ectors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT are hereby established
according to the boundary lines set forth in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and incorporated by reference.
2. The Secretary of CARLSRAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
is hereby authorized and directed to furnish copies of this reso-
lution and maps indicating the new boundaries of the five
divisions to the Registrar of Voters, San Diego County.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of
January, 1976.

Board held on the 7th day of January, 1976, and that it was
adopted by the following vote:
AYES: CARMICHAEL, ENGELMANN, KELLY,
MacLEOD and MAERKLE.
NOES : None.
ABSENT : None.
