RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
ESTABLISHING LEGAL HOLIDAYS FOR
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT pre-
viously established the legal holidays of the CARLSBAD MUNICI-
PAL WATER DISTRICT, by Resolution No. 323, adopted November
20, 1974; and
WHEREAS, the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT de-
sires to change and amplify said Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS :
1. Resolution No. 323 is hereby rescinded.
2. The legal holidays for the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT and its employees shall be as follows:
1. Every Saturday.
2. Every Sunday.
3. January 1st.
4. The third Monday in February.
5. The last Monday in May.
6. July 4th.
7. The first Monday in September.
8. November llth, known as "Veterans' Day".
9. The Thursday in November appointed as
"Thanksgiving Day".
10. December 25th.
11. For employee only - the individual
employee's birthday.
3. In the event that January 1, July 4, November 11,

or December 25 is a Saturday in a particular year, the said
legal holiday for the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT shall
be the preceding Friday.
4. In the event that January 1, July 4, November 11,
or December 25 is a Sunday in a particular year, the said
legal holiday for the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT shall
be the following Monday.
5. In the event the individual employee's birthday
is a legal holiday in any particular year, the individual em-
ployee can elect another working day as a legal holiday for
the individual employee in lieu of the individual employee's
birthday. Such election must be approved by the General Manager
of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT.
6. The above holidays shall exist for each calendar
year hereafter.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of July,
1976.

DO HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly
adopted by the Board of Directors of said District at a regular
meeting of the said Board held on the 7th day of July, 1976,
and that it was adopted by the following vote:
AYES : Directors: Carmichael, Engelmann,
Kelly, MacLeod and
Maerkle.
NOES : Directors: None.
ABSENT : Directors: None.

certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the
Board of Directors of said District at a regular meeting of said
Board held on the 7th day of July, 1976, and that it was adopted
by the following vote:
AYES : DIRECTORS: CARMICHAEL, ENGELMANN, KELLY,
MacLEOD and MAERKLE
NOES : DIRECTORS : None.
ABSENT : DIRECTORS : None.
