RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION
UNDER LOCAL PUBLIC WORKS CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT
AND INVESTMENT PROGRAM FOR
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AND
AUTHORIZING GENERAL MANAGER TO ACT IN CONNECTION
WITH THE APPLICATION
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT has deemed it to the best interests of the inhabi-
tants of the District to file an application for a local public
works project under the LOCAL PUBLIC WORKS CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT
AND INVESTMENT PROGRAM; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of CARLSBAD MUMICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT desires to authorize the General Manager of the
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT to act in connection with the
said application.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT file an
application of a local public works project under the LOCAL PUB-
LIC WORKS CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT AND INVESTMENT PROGRAM for a local
public works project to be known as:
LA COSTA RESERVOIR NO. 2
2. That the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT assures
and certifies that it shall comply with the regulations, policies,
guidelines and requirements, including Office of Management and
Budget Circular No. A-95 and Federal Management Circulars 74-4
and 74-7, as they relate to the application, acceptance and use
of Federal funds for this federally-assisted project.

3. That the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT gives
assurance and certifies with respect to the grant that it will
comply with all assurances and certifications set forth in
Part VI of the application for Local Public Works Capital Devel-
opment and Investment as promulgated by U. S. Department of
Commerce, Economic Development Administration in the application
form furnished to CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT.

4. That W. F. PRIDAY, as General Manager of CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, is directed and authorized, for and on
behalf of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, to file the appli-
cation under LOCAL PUBLIC WORKS CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT AND INVEST-
MENT PROGRAM and is identified as the official representative of
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT to act in connection with the
said application and to provide such additional information as
may be required.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6th day of October,
1976.

I, HAROLD M. ENGELMANN, Assistant Secretary of the
Board of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, do
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by
the Board of Directors of CARISBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, at
a regular meeting of said Board of Directors on the 6th day of
October, 1976, and that it was adopted by the following vote:

MacLeod, Maerkle
NOES : Directors: None
ABSENT : Directors: Carmichael.
