RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
ESTABLISHING LEGAL HOLIDAYS FOR
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT pre-
viously established the legal holidays of the CARLSBAD MUNICI-
PAL WATER DISTRICT, by Resolution No. 344, adopted July 7,
1976; and
WHEREAS, the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT de-
sires to change and amplify said Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS :
1. Resolution No. 344 is hereby rescinded.
2. The legal holidays for the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT and its employees shall be as follows:

Every Saturday.
Every Sunday.
January 1st.
February 12th, known as "Lincoln Day".
The third Monday in February.
The last Monday in May.
July 4th.
The first Monday in September.
November llth, known as "Veterans I Day".
The Thursday in November appointed as
"Thanksgiving Day".
The Friday after the Thursday in November
appointed as "Thanksgiving Day".
December 25th.
For employee only - the individual em-
ployee's birthday.

3. In the event that January 1, February 12, July 4,
November 11, or December 25 falls upon a Saturday in a particu-
lar year, the said legal holiday for the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
FJATER DISTRICT shall be the preceding Friday.
4. In the event that January 1, February 12, July 4,
November 11, or December 25 falls upon a Sunday in a particular
year, the said legal holiday for the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT shall be the following Monday.
5. In the event the individual employee's birthday
is a legal holiday in any particular year, the individual em-
ployee can elect another working day as a legal holiday for the
individual employee in lieu of the individual's employee's birth-
day.

Such election must be approved by the General Manager of

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of June,

I, FRED W. MAERKLE, Secretary of the CARLSBAD MUNICI-
PAL WATER DISTRICT and of the Board of Directors thereof, DO
HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted
by the Board of Directors of said District at a regular meeting
of the said Board held on the 15th day of June, 1977, and that
it was adopted by the following vote:
AYES : Directors: Engelmann, Kelly, MacLeod,
Maerkle and Uhlinger.
NOES : Directors: None.
ABSENT : Directors: None.
