A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DESIGNATING LOCAL AGENT FOR CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
FOR THE PURPOSE OF OBTAINING FEDERAL FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE UNDER THE DISASTER RELIEF ACT OR
PRESIDENT'S DISASTER RELIEF FUND AND PROVIDING
ANY ASSURANCES AND AGREEMENTS REQUIRED
WHEREAS, by Declaration No. 547, the County of San Diego
has on March 4, 1978, been designated as a Federal Disaster
Area: and
WHEREAS, the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT suffered
damage from storm flooding as a result of the storm causing
the County of San Diego to be designated as a Federal Disaster
Area.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS
FOLLOWS :
1. That JACK Y. KUBOTA, District Engineer of CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, is hereby authorized to execute for
and in behalf of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, a public
entity established under the laws of the State of California,
this application and to file it in the appropriate State office
for the purpose of obtaining certain Federal financial assist-
ance under the Disaster Relief Act (Public Law 288, 93rd Con-
gress) or otherwise available from the President's Disaster
Relief Fund.
2. That CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, a public
entity established under the laws of the State of California,
hereby authorizes its agent to provide to the State and to
the Federal Disaster Assistance Administration (FDAA), Depart-
ment of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for all matters
pertaining to such Federal disaster assistance the assurances
and agreements required by such agencies under the pertinent
regulations connected with such application.
ADOPTED, SIGNED, AND APPROVED this 5th day of April,
1978.

the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the Board of Direc-
tors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, at a regular meeting
of said Board held on the 5th day of April, 1978, and that it
was so adopted by the following vote:
