RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 363 AND RESOLUTION
NO. 367 FIXING THE RATES AND CHARGES OF WATER
SUPPLIED BY CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT adopted Resolution No. 363 on July 15, 1977,
fixing the rates and charges of water supplied by CARLSBAD MUNI-
CIPAL WATER DISTRICT; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT adopted Resolution No. 367 on November 16, 1977
for purposes of clarification and establishment of terms in
accordance with the accounting system and reports required for
the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT; and
WHEREAS, a review of the water rates charged by the
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT has indicated that the water
rate is insufficient to cover all of the increases of costs of
water to CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT since July 15, 1977,
including an additional increase in cost of the water which will
be effective January 1, 1979; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the CARLSBAD MUNICI-
PAL WATER DISTRICT had carefully evaluated a management report
and recommendation for the increase of the agricultural water
rate for CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, effective January 1,
1979; and
WHEREAS, a letter was forwarded to all present agricul-
tural water customers of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT on
November 16, 1978 advising them of the management recommendation
and inviting any comments to assist the Board of Directors of
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT in considering the recommenda-
tion; and

WHEFtEAS, the Board of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT has received no comments from the public in
reference to the management recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT deems it expedient, proper, necessary and to the
best interests of the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT to
revise the agricultural water rate for agricultural water
delivered and to approve the recommended proposed agricultural
water rate increase.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD MUNI-
CIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. The rate on a monthly basis for all retail-agricul-
ture water delivered by the District as set forth in Paragraph 2,
Resolution No. 367 now reads as follows:
Retail - Agriculture $0.22 per 100 cubic feet
or fraction thereof.
2. The rate on a monthly basis for all retail-agricul-
ture water delivered by the District as set forth in Paragraph 2,
Resolution No. 367 is amended to read as follows:
Retail - Agriculture $0.26 per 100 cubic feet
or fraction thereof.
3. The rate on a monthly basis for all retail-agricul-
ture water as amended herein shall become effective January 1, 1979.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 20th day of December,
1978.
