RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
REVISING AND AMENDING THE MASTER PLAN FOR
PUBLIC WATER SYSTEM - IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 3 -
NORTH AND EAST OF EL CAMINO REAL
WHEREAS, after due study and deliberation, the Board of Di-
rectors of COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT (formerly, CARLSRAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT), on February 1, 1978, did duly adopt Re-
solution No. 369, entitled: ''A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF CARLSRAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT ESTABLISHING A MASTER PLAN FOR
PUBLIC WATER SYSTEM - IMPROVEMENT nISTRICT NO. 3 - NORTH AND EAST OF
EL CAMINO REAL"; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 369 provided in part that "All
future developments of the public water system of Improvement Dis-
trict No. 3 of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT - North and East of
El Camino Real, shall be developed in accordance with the adopted
Master Plan, until such time as the said Master Plan may be revised
or amended by action of the Board of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT." ; and
WHEREAS, as a result of proposed development in the area of
the said Master Plan, several unique water service problems have
arisen that call for a consideration of a revision of the said Mas-
ter Plan, as adopted on February 1, 1978; and

WHEREAS, the study by the District Engineer has determined

that realiqnment of the transmission mains in the area would provide
the equivalent hydraulic capacity to deliver flows of water as the
oriqinal aliqnment of the transmission mains on 'the said Master Plan
adopted February 1, 1978; and
WHEREAS, the modification of the currently adopted Master
Plan represents an equivalent pipeline system that meets all of the
goals and needs as set forth in the original Master Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COSTA REAL MUNIC-
IPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. The report of the District Enqineer, dated January 28,
1981, entitled, "Public Water System Expansion - Extension of Tri-
Agencies Pipeline - Carlsbad Tract 74-14A, Templin Heights Unit #2
and Carlsbad Tract 74-4, Quail Ridge", insofar as it revises and
amends the Master Plan for Public Water System - Improvement No. 3 -
North and East of El Camino Real, is hereby accepted as a revision
and amendment to the Master Plan for Public Water System - Improve-
ment District No. 3 - North and East of El Camino Real.

2. All future developments of the public water system of
Improvement District No. 3 of COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT -
North and East of El Camino Real, shall be developed in accordance
with the adopted Master Plan, as revised and amended herein, until
such time as the said Master Plan may be subsequently revised or
amended by action of the Board of Directors of COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT. r
