A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
APPROVING A LOSS-PREVENTION INSPECTION
WHEREAS, the Loss-Prevention Inspection is an integral part
of a multi-faceted program aimed at controlling losses through in-
spections, recommendations and reporting, corrective actions, and
total commitment on the part of member districts; and
WHEREAS, said policy of Loss-Prevention Inspections was
unanimously approved and adopted at the ACWA/JPIA Executive Committee
c meeting held January 11, 1980.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COSTA REAL MUNI-
CIPAL WATER DISTRICT (hereinafter called DISTRICT) DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. That authority is hereby granted to the Association of
California Water Agencies Joint Powers Insurance Authority (herein-
after called ACWA/JPIA) to arrange, schedule and contract for a Loss-
Prevention Inspection of this DISTRICT.
2. That the DISTRICT understands and agrees that such
Loss-Prevention Inspection is required by ACWA/JPIA as a precondition
for consideration of acceptance into the 1981-82 policy year of

coverage for the ACWA/JPIA, commencing October 1, 1981, that expense
for said Loss-Prevention Inspection shall be unconditionally borne

by the DISTRICT, and that a copy of the Loss-Prevention Inspection
c_ report and recommendations will become the property of the DISTRICT
whether or not the DISTRICT becomes a member of the ACWA/JPIA.
3. That the Board of Directors of this DISTRICT presents
this Resolution to the ACWA/JPIA Executive Committee as a request to
proceed with the Loss-Prevention Inspection, and as authorization for
same. It is understood that all districts seeking participation in
the 1981-1982 ACWA/JPIA policy year have a deadline date of May 1,
1981 for compliance with all necessary requirements and procedures as
set forth by the ACWA/JPIA for new members, and that, therefore, time
is of the essence.
