HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-01-05; Municipal Water District; Resolution 434RESOLUTION NO. 434 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT OF THE COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AND THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION OF THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM WHEREAS, the Board of Administration of the Public Em- ployees' Retirement System and the Board of Directors of COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT entered into a Contract, effective on March 1, 1963, providing for the participation of said COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT in the Public Employees' Retirement Sys- P i tern; and WHEREAS, it is now desirable to take advantage of certain benefits provided under said Retirement System and not included in said Contract . NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COSTA REAL MUNI- CIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the Board of Directors of COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT authorize, and it does hereby authorize, an amendment to said Contract, a copy of said amendment being attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and by such reference made a part hereof as though herein set out in full. TI 2. That the President and Secretary of the Board of Di- -1- rectors of COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT be, and they are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to execute said amendment for and on behalf of said COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT. 7 I I ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 5th day of January, 1983. / N. Paragraphs 1 through 12 are hereby contract as executed effective March 1, 1967, and paragraphs numbered 1 through 9 inclusive: 1. Employees of Public Agency in the following classes shall become members of said Retirement System except such in each such class as are excluded by law or this agreement: 3. (2) 9.796 percent on account of the liability for current service benefits. (3) 0.400 percent on account of the liability for the 1959 Survivor Program. b. A reasonable amount, as fixed by the Board, payable in one installment within 60 days of date of contract to cover the costs of administering said System as it affects the employees of Public Agency, not including the costs of special valuations or of the periodic investigation and valuations required by law. c.
