RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING
THE OUTSTANDING SERVICES OF
LINDEN R. RURZELL TO SAN DIEGO COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, LINDEN ("LIN") R. BURZELL acted as General Manager
and Chief Engineer of the SAN DIEGO COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY from Jan-
uary, 1964 until he officially retired as of December 30, 1983; and
WHEREAS, in performing his functions, LIN RYJRZELL has par-
ticipated in many other organizations connected with water, such as
Chairman of the California Section of the AMERICAN WATER WORKS ASSO-
CIATION, Director of AMERICAN WATER WORKS ASSOCIATION, Director of
IC the ASSOCIATION OF CALIFORNIA WATER AGENCIES, Chairman of special
committees of the ASSOCIATION OF CALIFORNIA WATER AGENCIES, and as
a member of the SAN DIEGO REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD: and
WHEREAS, the inhabitants of San Diego County owe a debt of
gratitude to LIN RURZELL for his loyal devotion and outstanding ser-
vices in contributing to the development of SAN DIEGO COUNTY WATER
AUTHORITY as an efficient and successful water distribution agency
and to the development of SAN DIEGO COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY to pro-
vide an excellent water supply for the inhabitants of San Diego
County:
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COSTA REAL MUNICI-
c PAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
1. The outstanding services of LINDEN R. BURZELL in the de-

velopment of SAN DIEGO COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY have materially con-
tributed to the operation of SAN DIEGO COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY as an
excellent water distribution agency supplying the water needs of the
inhabitants of San Diego County.

2. The outstanding services of LINDEN R. BURZELL as the
General Manager and Chief Engineer of the SAN DIEGO COUNTY WATER
AUTHORITY are hereby recognized and commended.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of February, 1984.
