RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
ESTABLISHING GUIDELINES FOR COMPENSATION AND REIMBURSEMENT
WHEREAS, the Administrative Code of the Costa Real-
Municipal Water District provides for compensation and
reimbursement of Directors engaged in District business: and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has determined that
it is desirable to establish a policy clarifying which
activities of Directors shall be and which may be compensable
or reimbursable:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Directors of the Costa Real Municipal Water District:
1. The Administrative Code of the Costa Real
Municipal Water District is hereby amended by adding Section
2.3.1 and 2.3.2 to read as follows:
2-3.1 Compensation- In addition to compensation
authorized by Section 2.3, it is the policy of the District
that a Director is considered to be rendering service by
request of the Board, and shall be so compensated, when:
A. Attending meetings within the State of
California as a designated representative and alternate to:
the San Diego County Water Authority, Association of
California Water Agencies-Joint Powers Insurance Authority,
San Diego Regional Water Reclamation Agency, President t

Managers Council of Water Utilities or Association of Water
Reclamation Agencies.
B. Attending any other meeting, conference, or
seminar for which compensation is specifically approved by
the Board.
2.3.2 Reimbursement. It is the policy of this
District that expenses are incurred by a Director in the
performance of duties requested or authorized by the Board,
and shall, upon claim, be reimbursed when:
A. Attending a meeting or conference for which
compensation is otherwise authorized by Section 2.3.1.
B. Attending educational conferences within the
state relevant to the operations and powers of the District
as approved by the Board.
C. Attending conferences or meetings, within the
state, of the Association of California Water Agencies,
Association of California Water Agencies-Joint Powers
Insurance Authority, National Water Resources Association,
Association of Water Reclamation Agencies, California Special
Districts Association, Water Agencies Association of San
Diego County.
D. On other District business other than committee
meetings or board meetings within 100 miles of the boundaries
of the District.
E. On other District business more than 100 miles
from the boundaries of the District, as approved by the
Board.
