RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
IN SUPPORT OF THE PAMO DAM & RESERVOIR PROJECT
WHEREAS, the health and welfare of San Diego county
and it's inhabitants is dependent upon an adequate water supply, and
WHEREAS, the semi-arid climate of the San Diego county
region necessitates the importation of as much as 90% of it's potable water needs in dry years, and
WHEREAS, the interruption of this imported water supply for an extended period of time would severly tax
existing storage capacities, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Costa Real
Municipal Water District recognizes the need for additional regional storage to complement existing facilities, and
WHEREAS, the San Diego County Water Authority is
currently in the process of obtaining approval for such a facility known as the PAMO DAM & RESERVOIR PROJECT, and
WHEREAS, the PAMO DAM & RESERVOIR PROJECT will add an additional 130,000 acre-feet of regional storage which
would be vital in the mitigation of water supply related problems arising from a shortage:
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of the Costa Real Municipal Water District does hereby urge the San
Diego County Water Authority to continue it's noble efforts to assure the timely construction of the PAMO DAM & RESERVOIR PROJECT.
ADOPTED, SIGNED, AND APPROVED this 5th day of November,
1986.

WATER DISTRICT and of the Board of Directors thereof, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the
Board of Directors of said District at a regular meeting of
the Board held on the 5th day of November, 1986, and that it
was adopted by the following vote:
AYES : Directors: Maerkle, Kelly and Bonas
NOES : Directors : None
ABSENT: Directors: Almack and Haasl
