HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-02-17; Municipal Water District; Resolution 572RESOLUTION NO. 572 I RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT CREATING THE POSITIONS OF ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR, ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER AND PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER " WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Costa Real Municipa have the responsibility to supply water of the highest qualit and at the lowest possible price to the citizenry of Carlsbad and WHEREAS, restructuring of the District's Organization2 Chart is warranted to ensure the aforementioned, and WHEREAS, the position of Engineering Supervisor is needed t effectively administer the District's Engineering Department, ar WHEREAS, the position of Administrative Manager is need6 to effectively administer the District's Administratix Department, and WHEREAS, the position of Public Information Officer j needed to serve as the informational officer and official medj I liason for the District; - NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA REI MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE th; the unclassified positions of Engineering Supervisor a1 Administrative Manager and the classified position of Publ: Information Officer (salary range 35) shall be creatc incorporating the attached Administrative Code changes and oth< supporting material. ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED THIS 17TH DAY OF FEBRUARl 1988. ATTEST : I R DISTRICT Board of Directors I I I 4 CLASSIFIED POSITION March 2, 1988 (c) Discharge. EMPLOYEES MAY BE TERMINATED ACTION OF THE GENERAL MANAGER IN ACCORDA WITH WATER CODE SECTION 71362 AND SERVE AT PLEASURE OF THE GENERAL MANAGER. The Gene Manager shall notify such employees discharge in writing. All such dischar employees shall be entitled to any normal c pensation due, and if employed by the Distr at least or more than one year, shall rece all accumulated vacation time due. If emplc by the District at least one year, employ shall receive 50% of all accumulated sick le up to 250 hours and 100% of any sick leave excess of 250 hours. (d) Lay Off. The District hopes that layoffs w never become necessary. However, layoffs be required due to lack of work, a decrease or loss of funds, or changing position requi ments. Should layoffs be required, they w be implemented by considering the employe proficiency, productivity, length of empl ment, attendance, and reliability. Emplol may be laid off by action of the General M ager. Such employees shall receive two we written notice of layoff. When layoff is ar cipated to exceed 14 days duration, the foll ing shall apply:. Employees shall be paid accumulated vacation pay due. If employet the District at least one year, employees sh receive 50% of all accumulated sick leave UI 250 hours. Any accumulated sick leave in cess of 250 hours to be reimbursable at 1( (e) Resignation. Employment with the District be terminated at the will of the employee. an employee wishes to resign, the Distr desires a two (2) week notice in writing. accumulated vacation pay and sick leave coml sation will be paid upon resignation. If ployed by the District at least one year, ployee shall receive 50% of all accumula sick leave up to 250 hours. Any accumula sick leave in excess of 250 hours shall reimbursable at 100%.
