I A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
ESTABLISHING THE APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT FOR COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 1988 AND ENDING
JUNE 30, 1989 IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE XI11 B
OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA AND
DIVISION 9 OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE OF THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, Section 1 of Article XI11 B of the Constituti,
the State of California provides that the total an
appropriations of each local government shall not exceec
appropriations limit of such entity of government for the
year, adjusted for changes in the cost of living and popula
subject to certain specified exceptions in said Article; and
WHEREAS, Section 8 of Article XI11 B of the Constitutic
the State of California defines "Appropriations sub jec
limitation" of an entity of local government as
authorization to expend during a fiscal year the proceec
taxes levied by or for that entity and the proceeds of s
subventions to that entity" (other than subventions made pur:
to new programs or services mandated by the State Legislat
"exclusive of refunds of taxes"; and

WHEREAS, Section 7910 of the Government Code of the Stal
California provides that each year the governing body of
local jurisdiction shall, by resolution, establish -I

appropriations limit for the following fiscal year pursuan
Article XI11 B of the Constitution of the State of Californi
a regularly scheduled meeting or noticed special meeting; an<
WHEREAS, Section 7910 of the Government Code of the Stal
California provides that, fifteen (15) days prior to the met
adopting the resolution establishing the appropriations limj
the local jurisdiction for the next fiscal year,
documentation used in the determination of the appropriat
limit shall be available to the public; and
WHEREAS, the documentation used in determining
appropriations limit adopted in this resolution has
available to the public for fifteen (15) days prior to
adoption of this resolution.
I NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COSTA
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDE:
FOLLOWS :
1. The appropriations limit for COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL b
DISTRICT, pursuant to Article XI11 B of the Constitution of
State of California for the fiscal year commencing July 1, :
and ending June 30, 1989, is $425,336.86.
2. In accordance with Section 2, Article XI11 B of
Constitution of the State of California, any revenues receivc
COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT in excess of that amc
which is appropriated in compliance with Article XI11 B of
I Constitution of the State of California, during the fiscal

shall be returned by a revision of tax rates or fee sched
within the next two subsequent fiscal years.
