HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990-05-08; Municipal Water District; Resolution 658* 0 0 I RESOLUTION NO, 658 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DECLARING THAT A STAGE I1 WATER ALERT BE IMPLEMENTED AND REMAIN IN FORCE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE WHEREAS, a series of adverse events have affecte water supply in Southern California; and WHEREAS, Arizona will be taking more of its share c Colorado River supply thus reducing Metropolitan's Colorado Aqueduct supply to about 950,000 AF compared to 1,200,O prior years; and WHEREAS, in San Diego County, local water supplie at a ten-year low compounding the additional demands on imy water. I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Dirt of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District as follows: 1. Given the current water shortage and potentia more serious shortages, the Carlsbad Municipal Water Dis calls for a 10 percent reduction in use over expected 1990 1 during the peak summer months. 2. This 10 percent reduction is a Stage I1 Water and is in accordance with the District's Ordinance No. 30 ac on December 6, 1989.
