RESOLUTION NO. 318
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, FOR APPROVAL OF PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZATION TO PUBLISH AN
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR INSTALLATION OF THE
1993 FENCING PROJECT IN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CMWD PROJECT NO. 92-104
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the (
public, the City of Carlsbad and the Carlsbad Municipal
District to maintain fencing of areas which might be precar
the welfare of the general public and if left open might hin
operation and maintenance of the water system, and it is impc
that the deteriorating fencing be replaced with the installa
new fencing to ensure the Buena Vista Reservoir site be CI
from encroachment; and
WHEREAS, funds have been appropriated in the
Operating Budget for the Buena Vista Reservoir site for the
to remove the deteriorating fencing and to install new fenci
the amount of $35,000; and
WHEREAS, the engineering staff has prepared pl
specifications for the Installation of the 1993 Fencing Proj
Buena Vista Reservoir in the City of Carlsbad with a cost e
in the amount of $32,200; and
WHEREAS, authorization by the Board of Direci
publish an Invitation to Bid in accordance with Section 3.2;
the Municipal Code, and award the contract to the
responsive, responsible bidder subject to the Board of Dii
approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of D:

as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and COI

Water District Engineering Department and are incorporate(
by reference, are accepted.
