RESOLUTION NO. 820
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTIVE MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
JOINT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE METROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT, THE SAN DIEGO (
WATER AUTHORITY AND THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DIS'
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water Distrj

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the San Diego County Water AI 8
the Encina Basin Water Reclamation Project - Phase I program; and
authorized its General Manager to enter into the Joint Participation Agreement tl

Metropolitan Water District to financially participate in the Encina Basin Water E

13 WHEREAS, the Joint Participation Agreement will allow the Metropolitan W
14 to provide the Carlsbad Municipal Water District with the Local Projects Program ful
15 per acre foot for reclaimed water; and
16
Project - Phase I program; and
WHEREAS, these funds will help offset the costs of the Carlsbad Munic

District's Water Reclamation program by providing funds for partial repayment of the :

21 Board of Directors as follows:
I low-interest loan from the State Water Resources Control Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Carlsbad Municipal Wa

2. That the Board hereby authorizes the Executive Manager to enter
2 Participation Agreement between the Metropolitan Water District, the San Diego C
3 Authority and the Carlsbad Municipal Water District to allow the Metropolitan Watt
4 financially participate in the Encina Basin Water Reclamation Project - Phase
5 Metropolitan Water District’s Local Projects Program.
