RESOLUTION NO. 923
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
DECLARING A TEMPORARY WATER SUPPLY SHORTAGE
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water Distr
7 approved and adopted the ordinance establishing a Water Conservation Progra,
8 WHEREAS, this ordinance outlines procedures and water restrictions for
9 water conservation stages and a water emergency; and

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Water District will be taking the Second Aql
out of service for two ten-day periods; and
WHEREAS, the Second Aqueduct is the treated water aqueduct that Serb
Carlsbad Municipal Water District; and
WHEREAS, there will not be sufficient water stored in the District's elever

16 reservoirs to meet normal demand for Carlsbad customers for these periods.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the

Carlsbad Municipal Water District as follows:

21 2. That a Temporary Water Supply Shortage is hereby declared, effe

days prior to each actual shutdown of the Second Aqueduct enacted by the Me1

day of FEBRUARY , 1996, by the following vote, to wit:
