RESOLUTION NO. 957
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND
AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 1995 DOWNTOWN WATER
PROJECT, CONSTRUCTION OF POTABLE WATER MAINS
IN CARLSBAD VILLAGE DRIVE, LOCUST AVENUE,
HARRISON STREET, AND HIGHLAND DRIVE, CMWD
PROJECT NO. 88-107. CONTRACT NO. 3404
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water
has previously authorized the advertisement for bids for the 1995 Downtowl
Project, Construction of Potable Water Mains in Carlsbad Village Drive
Avenue, Harrison Street, and Highland Drive, CMWD Project No. 88-107,
No. 3404; and
WHEREAS, twelve (12) sealed bids were received on August 28, I
said project; and,
WHEREAS, all bid documents received from all bidders have been r
in detail and the Board of Directors does hereby find that the lowest res
responsible bid received for the construction of said project was subrr
Valverde Construction, Inc., Whittier, California in the amount of $381,401 .Ol
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the bid, in the amount of $381,401.00, submitted by
Construction, Inc. is hereby accepted, and the President hereby is auth
execute a contract thereafter.

1 3. That the additional funds in the amount of $1 1 1,401 to cover the
2 cost shall be transferred from the Water Replacement Fund balance, and t
3 appropriation is $441,401.
