RESOLUTION NO. 1019 EX1
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, FOR APPROVAL OF PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZATION TO PUBLISH AN
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR CANNON ROAD WEST
REACH 1 WATER AND RECYCLED WATER TRANSMISSION
MAINS AND COLLECTOR SEWER FOR SOUTH AGUA
HEDIONDA INTERCEPTOR SEWER, CMWD PROJECT NOS.
88-602 AND 92-406, CONTRACT NO.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipa
District of Carlsbad, California, has determined it necessary and in the
interest to approve the plans and specification and to authorize publist
advertisement for bids for the Cannon Road West Reach 1 Water and Rf
Water Transmissions Mains and Collector Sewer for South Agua HE
Interceptor Sewer, CMWD Project Nos. 88-602 and 92-406; and
WHEREAS, funds appropriated in the 1997198 Budget for tht
connection fee program in the amount of $1,146,140 as of May 31, 191
available, therefor, there are sufficient funds available for this project; and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the Cannon Roac
Reach 1 Water and Recycled Water Transmission Mains and Collector Se
South Agua Hedionda Interceptor Sewer, CMWD Project Nos. 88-602 and
have been prepared by the District engineering staff with a cost estin
$730,000 for the water connection fee program portion of the total project wt-
available for review in the Engineering Department of the Carlsbad Municipa
District; and
WHEREAS, authorization is hereby granted by the Board of D
to publish an Invitation to Bid in accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the M

NOW THEREFOR, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors

Carlsbad Municipal Water District of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1, That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the plans and specifications and cost estimate of $7
submitted by the Carlsbad Municipal Water District engineering staff which
7 file with the Carlsbad Municipal Water District Engineering Departme
8 incorporated herein by reference and are accepted.
9 3. That the Secretary be authorized to publish an Invitation tc
10 accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the Municipal Code.

Carlsbad Municipal Water District held on 23rd day of June
19 98 , by the following vote to wit:
