RESOLUTION NO. 1022 €XU'
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, FOR APPROVAL OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZATION TO COMBINE WATER AND RECYCLED
WATER TRANSMISSION MAINS TO CANNON ROAD WEST
REACH I ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS, CMWD PROJECT NOS.
88-602, CONTRACT NO. 35341
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water r
of Carlsbad, California, has determined it necessary and in the public interest to
Resolution #I 019 dated June 23, 1998 to authorize advertisement of the plar
specifications; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water
of Carlsbad, California now approves the plans and specifications and authorizes con
the Recycled Water and Water Transmission Main plans and specifications with the C
Road West Reach 1 Roadway Improvements, CMWD Project No. 88-602; and
WHEREAS, funds appropriated in the 1997/98 Budget for the
connection fee program in the amount of $1,146,140 as of July 13, 1998, are av
therefor, there are sufficient funds available for this project; and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the Cannon Road West R
Water and Recycled Water Transmission Mains and Collector Sewer for Soutt
Hedionda Interceptor Sewer, CMWD Project Nos. 88-602 and 92-406 have been pr
by the District engineering staff with a cost estimate of $1,000,000 for the water con
fee program portion of the total project which are available for review in the Engil
Department of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District; and
WHEREAS, authorization is hereby granted by the Board of Dire1
publish an Invitation to Bid in accordance with Section 3.28.120 of the Municipal Cod
NOW THEREFOR, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors
Carlsbad Municipal Water District of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the plans and specifications and cost estimate of $1 ,O
submitted by the Carlsbad Municipal Water District engineering staff which are on f
the Carlsbad Municipal Water District Engineering Department are incorporated he
reference and are accepted.
3. That the Secretary be authorized to publish an addendum to the (
Road West Reach 1 plans and specifications in accordance with Section 3.28.1 20
Municipal Code.
4. That these plans and specifications be added to the bid set for (
Road West Reach 1 Roadway Improvements.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a special meeting of the C
Municipal Water District held on 21st day of July 1 19 g8 9
following vote to wit:
AYES: Board Members Lewis, Finnila, Nygaard, Kulchin anc
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
