RESOLUTION N0.i 1046
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, APPROVING
OUT-OF-STATE TRAVEL FOR ONE ACCOUNT
TECHNICIAN TO ATTEND THE SIERRA PERMIT
AUTOMATION CONFERENCE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California authorized purchase of
the Sierra PERMITS PLUS software to upgrade the then current Sierra PERMITS system in
April 1997; and;
WHEREAS, the Sierra Permit Automation conference is a worthwhile and educational
event for Sierra clients who want to learn more about the software and establish useful contacts;
and,
WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds available in the FY 1998-99 Water Operations
budget for one Account Technician to attend the conference; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District herebq
finds it necessary, desirable and in the public interest to authorize out-of-state travel for thr
members of District staff to attend the Sierra Permit Automation conference in Reno, Nevada.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad
Municipal Water District, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That out-of-state travel is hereby authorized, in accordance with City policy, for the
representative from the Water District to attend the Sierra Permit Automation conference in
Reno, Nevada.
