RESOLUTION NO. 1162
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT (CMWD)
AUTHORIZING THE SECRETARY OF THE BOARD TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF POINSETTIA LANE REACH "C AND DOMESTIC AND
RECYCLED WATER TRANSMISSION MAINS, PROJECT NOS.
36731,35851, AND 36752.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District (CMWD) of the
City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it necessary, desirable and in the public interest to
construct Poinsettia Lane Reach "C" and Domestic and Recycled Water Transmission Mains,
Project Nos. 36731,35851, and 36752; and
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,
equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental to this project have been
prepared and are on file in the Public Works-Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and
are incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $15.8 million have been previously appropriated to
construct the recycled water pipelines, and funds in the amount of $1.6 million are available and
have been previously appropriated to construct the domestic water pipelines; therefore, sufficient
funds are available to construct the domestic and recycled water transmission mains; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District (CMWD) of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1, That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the plans, specifications, and contract documents on file in the Public Works-
Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad are hereby approved for construction of Poinsettia
Lane Reach "C and Domestic and Recycled Water Transmission Mains, Project Nos. 36731,
35851 ~ and 36752

3. The District's Secretary to the Board is hereby authorized and directed to publish,
accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of
Dinsettia Lane Reach "C" and Domestic and Recycled Water Transmission Mains, Project Nos.
3731, 35851, and 36752, in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents
tferred to herein.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a special meeting of the Carlsbad Municipal
later District held on the 6th day of August , 2002 by the
Illowing vote, to wit:
