A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
3 MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT (CMWD), AUTHORIZATION TO
APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR TRI-AGENCIES WATER TRANSMISSION
4 PIPELINE CONDITION ASSESSMENT PROJECT.
5 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has determined it necessary and in the public interest
6 to perform a condition assessment and preliminary design report, and appropriate funds for the
7 Tri-Agencies Water Transmission Pipeline; and
8 WHEREAS, funds in the Water Replacement Fund are sufficient for the project; and
g WHEREAS, funds totaling $275,000 are needed at this time to begin this project.
I o NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the City of Carlsbad,
I1 California, as follows:
12 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
13 2. That the Finance Director is authorized to appropriate $275,000 from the Water
14 Replacement fund to cover the cost of a condition assessment and preliminary design report for
15 the Tri-Agencies Water Transmission Pipeline Project.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Special Meeting of the Board of
Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District of the City of Carlsbad on the 7th day
of August, 2007, by the following vote:
AYES: Board Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
