MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT (CMWD), APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND DETERMINING TO REIMBURSE THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD FOR THE ACTUAL COSTS FOR CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE NORTHWEST
5 QUADRANT STORM IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, MISCELLANEOUS
WATER VALVE REPAIR/REPLACEMENT, PAVEMENT
MANAGEMENT PROGRAM, VILLAGE DECORATIVE LIGHTING AND
STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT ASSESSMENT FUND (GRAND AVENUE)
PROJECT NO. 6608, 5019, 6001, 4016.

WHEREAS, THE Board of Directors ofthe Carlsbad Municipal Water District, California, has
determined it necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to construct the Northwest
Quadrant Storm Drain Improvement Program, Miscellaneous Water Valve Repair/Replacement,
Pavement Management Program, Village Decorative Lighting and Street Lighting District
Assessment Fund (Grand Avenue), Project No. 6608, 5019, 6001, 4016; and
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,
equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental to the Northwest
18 Quadrant Storm Drain Improvement Program, Miscellaneous Water Valve Repair/Replacement,
19 Pavement Management Program, Village Decorative Lighting and Street Lighting District

Assessment Fund (Grand Avenue), Project No. 6608, 5019, 6001, 4016, have been prepared and
21
are on file in the Public Works Department ofthe City of Carlsbad and are incorporated herein
22
by reference; and

24 WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Municipal Water District has agreed to reimburse the City of
25 Carlsbad for the actual costs for Carlsbad Municipal Water District improvements from the Water
26 Valve Repair/Replacement Program, Project No. 5019, and

WHEREAS, the Engineer's estimate for the construction of the Water Valve
Repair/Replacement Program is $115,000; and
WHEREAS, funding for said project has been appropriated from the Water-Capital
Replacement Funds to cover all project costs and is sufficient.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District (CMWD) of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the plans, specifications and contract documents for the Northwest Quadrant
Storm Drain Improvement Program, Miscellaneous Water Valve Repair/Replacement, Pavement
Management Program, Village Decorative Lighting and Street Lighting District Assessment Fund
(Grand Avenue), Project No. 6608, 5019, 6001,4016, are on file in the Public Works Department
of the City of Carlsbad and are hereby approved.
3. That the Finance Director is authorized to reimburse $115,000 from the Water
Valve Repair/Replacement Program (Project No. 5019).

Water District Board of Directors and Carlsbad City Council, held on the 18*'' day of November,
2014, by the following vote to wit:
