ORDINANCE NO. 32
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AMENDING EMERGENCY WATER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
BY REQUIRING USE OF RECLAIMED WATER
FOR GREENBELT PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the Ca Municipal Water District (District) as follows:
Section 1: Section 6. paragraph (B) sub-paragraph
paragraph (C) sub-paragraph 9 shall be revised to read:

structure is prohibited unless it is a recycling type sysi
UNLESS RECLAIMED WATER IS AVAILABLE AND PERMITTED.
Section 2: Section 6.1 is hereby added to Ordinance N
establishing an Emergency Water Program, to read:
SECTION 6.1 Use of Reclaimed Water for Greenbelt Pur No customer of the District shall make, cause, use or
the use of water supplied by the District for gre uses, including, but not limited to, cemeteries, courses, parks, and highway landscaped areas, following notice and a hearing, the District finds reclaimed water is available under the following condi
a) the reclaimed water is of adequate quality a
available for use;
b) the reclaimed water may be furnished to such area
reasonable cost, comparable to or less than the c
supplying potable domestic water;
c) the State Department of Health Services has dete that such use would not be detrimental to public h and
d) the use of reclaimed water will not adversely downstream water rights, will not degrade water qx
Following such a determination, the District may assi
customer in obtaining any permits or approvals requir
the use of reclaimed water.

Section 3. Effective Date and Publication. This Ord shall become effective as of the date of adoption and be published within ten days of adoption, pursua California Water Code Section 376.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors ( Carlsbad Municipal Water District at a regular meeting hc May 8, 1990, by the following vote:
AYES: Board Members Lewis, Kulchin, Mamaux and Larson
NOES: None
ABSENT: Board Member Pettine
