ORDINANCE NO. 41
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DISSOLVING THE WATER COMMISSION EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1998
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad
Municipal Water District adopted Ordinance No. WB-1 on January
2, 1990 establishing the Water Commission; and
WHEREAS, it is not anticipated that the Water
Commission will be necessary after January 1, 1998,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of
Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District as follows:
SECTION I: Ordinance No. WB-1 adopted January 2, 1990
is hereby amended to establish a sunset date of January 1, 1998.
The Water Commission shall automatically be dissolved and of no
further force and effect on January 1, 1998 unless, sooner than
that time, the Board of Directors adopts an ordinance extending
or eliminating that date.
SECTION II: Until the Water Commission is dissolved,
all other terms and conditions of Ordinance No. WB-1 shall
remain in full force and effect.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty
days after its adoption, and the secretary shall certify the
adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at least
once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad
within fifteen days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the
Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District on the
19th day of March , 1996, and thereafter

PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Board of
Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District of the City of
Carlsbad on the 26th day of March I 1996, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Board Members Nygaard, Kulchin, Finnila and Hall
NOES: None
ABSENT: President Lewis
