Executive Summary
To share a recap of the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) Conference by Cultural Arts staff members
Gallery Curator Karen McGuire and Arts Education Coordinator Laurette Garner.
Discussion
Ms. McGuire and Ms. Garner will provide insights on their experience in attending the recent American
Alliance of Museums (AAM) Conference in New Orleans, May 19-22. They will review what they learned
about national trends in museums, galleries and arts education, as well as provide information from
workshops and site visits.
Fiscal Analysis
No additional city funding is being requested at this time.
Next Steps
Staff will review information and look for opportunities to incorporate into current and future
programming.
