Executive Summary
To review recent Community Arts grant-funded activities in Carlsbad by dance company The PGK Project
Discussion
The PGK Project Founding Artistic/Executive Director Peter Kalivas will provide an update on his dance
company’s recent Community Arts Grant-funded project which includes two events in Carlsbad. The PGK
Project is a professional dance theater group focused on bringing diverse dance styles to a wider audience.
The PGK Dance Project's mission is to create and produce dance programs and performances of the
highest quality made affordable and easily available to the public through creative community
collaborations and partnerships that promote and represent diversity in entertaining, innovative ways
that educate and develop audiences for dance. They strive to create and maintain sustainable
programming that supports dance artists and reduces barriers that otherwise limit public engagement
with the arts.

No additional city funding is being requested at this time.
