Executive Summary
This report previews upcoming exhibits in the William D. Cannon Gallery for 2020 and 2021.
Discussion
Gallery Curator Karen McGuire will share information on the upcoming exhibits in The William D.
Cannon Art Gallery which presents four to five exhibitions per year. A variety of media and art forms are
presented including thematic, historical, local and traveling exhibitions. The gallery has been presenting
exhibitions since it opened in September 1999 and has presented over 90 exhibitions in the ensuing
years. Exhibitions are generally planned two years in advance. The following schedule details upcoming
exhibitions:
•Edges Frayed
March 1 – May 24, 2020
•Material Pulses: Seven Viewpoints
June 14 – August 9, 2020
•National Geographic Women: A Century of Change
September 19, 2020 – January 3, 2021
•2021 Juried Exhibition
January 17 – March 7, 2021
•Transformed: The Book as Sculpture
March 21 – May 23, 2021
•Frida Kahlo’s Garden
September 1 – October 20, 2021
Fiscal Analysis
No additional city funding is being requested at this time.
