On April 29, l,980, the City Council authorized the firm of George A. Peterson, & Co.,
to analyze records and reports maintained since July 1, 1978. As a part of this
effort they were charged with preparing documents to balance the Section 8 Program.
As a result it was found that the Carlsbad Housing Authority had received an
overpayment of HUD Contributions in the amount of $33,395 (See attached HUD Form
52681)
will bring all accounting documentation current as of June 30, 1979, in preparation
It is now necessary to reimburse HUD in the amount of the overpayment. The reimbursement
for the HUD‘required biennial audit.
